After lunch we visit the archeological park of Hadrian’s Villa in Tivoli.
The famous roman emperor Publius Aelius Hadrianus, or simply Hadrian, the same emperor who gave the name to Hadrian’s Wall, had a giantic residence in Tivoli. Hadrian himself was the architect of this magnificent Villa.
Most of the imposing constructions where inspired by places that Hadrian has seen on his numerous journey through the empire,including Egypt.
